Job summary

Piper Aircraft is seeking a Lead Avionics/Electrical Engineer to guide the Avionics/Electrical Engineering team in design and integration of electrical and avionics systems for current and future aircraft. You will review wiring diagrams, schematics and installation drawings to assure FAA regulatory compliance, and provide technical direction to engineers and drafters.

Minimum of ten years in avionics/electrical system design and support.
Experience with FAA regulatory requirements and certification processes.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to the Avionics/Electrical Engineering team on design and integration of electrical and avionics systems.
Review drawings and installation paperwork for FAA compliance and engineering criteria.
Prepare certification and compliance reports and related documentation.
Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to meet program goals and schedules.
Mentor less experienced engineers and drafters on on-aircraft avionics and electrical work.
