Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Aviation Electrical Manager to lead design across Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs, reporting to the Aviation Practice Lead. You will supervise senior professionals and interface with clients, regulators, and internal teams to deliver projects.

The role requires a PE license, 20 years of airport electrical experience, and strong FAA/ICAO knowledge. Excellent communication and staff development are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure is required; ability to obtain in multiple states.
  • Twenty years of experience in Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs at airports.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA and ICAO criteria.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills.
  • Valid State Drivers License.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Aviation Electrical Manager to join our Aviation Practice , reporting to the Practice Lead, to support the delivery of projects in Orlando, FL.

Your role
  • Provides technical direction throughout the company within Airfield Electrical, Lighting and NAVAIDs design.
  • Engages with the Team toward the production of design projects.
  • Establishes technical criteria on projects and provides technical input/direction to project managers and team members.
  • Participates in technical quality assurance reviews.
  • Assists management in conducting technical project review audits.
  • Establishes and disseminates, reviews and updates firmwide professional standards, guidelines and procedures, investigation and design procedures, and technical quality assurance review guidelines for application to project production.
  • Coordinates with operational managers to identify staffing needs, deficiencies and opportunities for recruitment.
  • Assists in the identification, screening, recruitment and orientation of qualified candidates to fill key vacancies.
  • Receives general administrative direction. Executes independent decisions and resolves important questions concerning area of expertise, being recognized as a technical authority in his/her field of expertise, on a regional or national basis, both within and outside the company.
  • Supervises the technical work of senior professionals.
  • Interfaces with senior technical managers and all levels of management throughout the firm.
  • Interface with existing and potential clients. Represents/defends company’s technical work to client, regulatory agencies and others.
  • Participates in technical and professional organizations at a prominent leadership level.
About you
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $175,000 - $215,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
