Placement By Design, Inc. seeks an Architectural Project Manager to lead aviation-focused projects in our Houston office.

You will guide design development, manage multidisciplinary teams, and drive projects from concept through construction, ensuring quality and timely delivery. The ideal candidate has a NAAB-accredited architecture degree, 12+ years of commercial experience (airport/large-scale), professional registration or ARE testing, and strong QA/QC, with Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• In-office position with NAAB accredited architecture degree required.
• 12+ years of experience in commercial architecture, aviation or large-scale projects preferred.
• Professional registration or ARE testing in progress.
• Strong QA/QC and constructibility understanding.
• Experience coordinating multiple consultants and contractors.
• Exposure to sustainable design and client relations.
• Proficiency in managing project fees and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop competitive fee structures reflecting defined scope of services for project pursuits.
• Establish and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Oversee project delivery on time and within fee budget.
• Anticipate and manage client expectations and relations.
• Provide leadership to staff, assign roles, and mentor team members.
• Lead design discussions, drive technical solutions, and coordinate stakeholders.
• Oversee preparation and submission of construction documents and shop drawings.
• Coordinate internal staff and external consultants to ensure cohesive teams.
• Attend and conduct presentations and support client engagements.
• Drive opportunities through professional networks and market initiatives.
• Ensure QA/QC, apply best practices, and manage design documentation.
• Coordinate phasing, production of design documents, and construction administration.
