Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Senior AVD Engineer to design, implement, and maintain a large Azure Virtual Desktop environment in a remote, nationwide role.

You will serve as the SME for performance tuning, integration, and automation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable desktops across the enterprise. The position requires DoD clearance eligibility, a strong background in Azure services, Intune, FSLogix, and VDI management.

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Master's degree with 10 years of experience or Bachelor's with 13 years of experience or 19 total years of experience.
• Experience in Microsoft Azure, Azure Networking, Storage and Virtual Desktops.
• Experience managing and administering Windows Servers.
• Experience with Azure AD, Intune, FSLogix, and Nerdio.
• Experience in VDI profile management and endpoint protection with STIGs.
• VDI integration with Office 365 services.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design VDI solutions and provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators.
• Guide on desktop optimization for platform interoperability and coordinate between VDI technologies.
• Provide endpoint support for VDI tasks and troubleshooting.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of virtualization administration and implementation.
• Operate across multiple production environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions/buy decisions.

This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issue across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration and process automation and improvement. Must also be well versed in Network, storage, Azure AD and Intune.We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record designing implementing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who exceeds as an individual, as well as excels among peers in a team environment.
