NVIDIA is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Planning and Control team to build metrics and evaluation tools for autonomous vehicle software. You will craft novel evaluation methodologies and metrics to power rapid planner and controller development, collaborating across ML, infrastructure, and robotics teams.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD or equivalent in data science, engineering, or physics.
• 8+ years in software, data science or experiment design.
• Strong Python with Pandas/Numpy/Scipy/Matplotlib.
• Git on Linux; willingness to learn new domains.
• Fast learner, able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop metrics enabling rapid debugging and evaluation of autonomous vehicle software.
• Create data-driven evaluation products using on-road analysis, simulation, models, metrics and dashboards.
• Collaborate with ML, infrastructure engineers and roboticists on open-ended problems.
• Work with Planning & Control to shape software testing strategies.
