Job summary

Magna International is seeking a Senior System Test Engineer for our Magna New Mobility team in Lowell, MA. You will lead system-level test strategies for autonomous mobile robots and collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to verify functionality and safety.

You will develop automated test frameworks, drive validation across autonomy, navigation, and fleet management, and maintain traceability from requirements to results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of robotics, automotive, or related field experience.
• Strong knowledge of robotic sensors and safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level validation and integration strategies for autonomous mobile robot platforms.
• Lead verification and validation for autonomy features, navigation, and fleet management.
• Develop risk-based testing approaches identifying edge cases and failure modes.
• Collaborate to align with requirements and program milestones.
• Lead root cause investigations using logs, telemetry, and diagnostics.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and results; develop automated tools.
