Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards. The role involves working on engines, brakes, steering, and suspension in a climate-controlled facility, with ongoing training and advanced tools.

You will join a collaborative team, gain hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, and contribute to customer satisfaction. A valid driver’s license and ASE certifications are required where mandated by law.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and ASE certifications as listed by state/local law
