Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team toward higher customer satisfaction.

You will stay current with automotive tech through ongoing training and participate in ASE certifications funded by the company. New hires receive a $2000 sign-on bonus; strong diagnostic skills and the ability to explain complex issues to customers are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license at all times
• Skilled in brakes and hydraulics and/or steering & suspension and alignments
• Experience in automotive maintenance and tire repair
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people
• Reading, writing and math skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment; tests and registrations fees paid by company; bonuses for each test passed.
