Job summary

Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician / Mechanic to diagnose and repair customer vehicles while adhering to MAP guidelines and company standards. The position requires a High School Diploma, ASE certification (preferred), and a valid driver’s license with availability to work at least five days including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prefer one active ASE certification or equivalent experience or training.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license or obtain Virginia license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles per certification/experience level.
• Performs work outlined on the Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains diagnoses and needed repairs to managers, service consultants or customers.
• Recommends necessary services and documents recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renewals.

The Senior Automotive Technician / Mechanicis responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturer’s and company standards.

COMPENSATION: Up to $50 Flat Rate

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prefer a minimum of one active ASE or equivalent experience or training
• Possess valid driver’s license, or obtain a valid Virginia driver’s license within 30 days of hire date
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays
