Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Experience with brakes & hydraulics, steering and suspension.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications (brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, ignition, suspension, A/C and electrical).
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical customers.
• Stay current with changing automotive tech via paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Aim to obtain/maintain ASE certifications (A18) within two years; tests and fees covered by the company; bonus for tests passed.
