Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. in Forest Park, GA is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and lead a small team toward higher customer satisfaction.

You will repair to specifications, explain diagnoses to customers, and stay current with evolving vehicle technology through paid training. The role includes on-the-job development, ASE certification support, and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

  • Must have valid driver's license at all times.
  • Skilled in brakes & hydraulics and/or steering & suspension.
  • Automotive maintenance and tire repair capabilities.
  • Current federal/state/local certification where applicable.
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Reading, writing and math skills.
  • Demonstrated ASE certifications or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair to specifications—brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, A/C and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
  • Obtain or maintain ASE certifications within two years of employment.
