Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all work meets MAP, dealership, manufacturer, and company standards.

You will perform advanced diagnostics, heavy-duty repairs, and clearly explain findings to customers and management while upholding safety and Sun Auto’s policies. This full-time role offers weekend flexibility and ongoing growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate use of computerized diagnostics equipment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• State Inspector License may be required within 30 days of hire (where applicable).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy
• Perform complex and heavy-duty repairs
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed. But never Sundays! Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
