Job summary

Northside Chevrolet in San Antonio, TX seeks a B Level Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, leveraging prior C level technician experience. This full-time role emphasizes high-quality repairs per repair orders and collaboration with parts personnel.

The technician will document work on repair orders, perform road tests when needed, and participate in ongoing manufacturer training. Minimum requirements include a GM Certification and at least one ASE Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• GM Certified.
• Completed automotive technical school or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technicians employed by Northside Chevrolet are required to obtain at least one ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Northside Chevrolet’s and factory standards.
• Diagnoses the cause of most malfunctions and performs repair.
• Communicates with Parts Professional to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
