Job summary

Midas MUELLER in Rockford, IL is seeking automotive technicians to perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance in a full-service facility. You will diagnose using state-of-the-art systems, service brakes, tires, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical components, while working both independently and with peers to ensure quality work and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus.
• Experience with brakes, exhaust, suspension, engine diagnostics and shop safety standards.
• Able to operate lifts and diagnostic tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics using computer systems and shop equipment.
• Carry out tire repairs and replacements; service brakes and suspension.
• Work on heating/AC, radiators, batteries, belts, hoses and exhaust.
• Conduct oil changes and system inspections; review check engine lights.
• Ensure vehicle safety with visual inspections and adherence to standards.
