Delta World Tire, one of the area’s largest independent tire dealers, is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician in Greenacres, MS. You will diagnose and repair a range of vehicles, explain findings to customers, and document recommendations. Eligible for competitive pay and benefits, including tuition reimbursement and paid time off.

ASE certifications are preferred and a valid local license is required. The role supports the service department with high customer satisfaction, adheres to MAP

Qualifications

• Experience as automotive technician/mechanic is required.
• Ability to operate computerized diagnostic tools.
• Strong safety and procedural adherence.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose vehicles per certification level and repair orders.
• Perform complex and heavy-duty repairs accurately.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Recommend essential services and document them in the file.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain flexibility for Monday–Saturday shifts.

Overview

Delta World Tireis one of the area’s largest independent tire dealers, with over 30,000 tires in stock. In addition to tires, Delta World Tire offers complete quality automotive repair and preventative maintenance. Our ASE certified technicians will be happy to help you on a wide range of services including alignments, brake repair, oil changes, batteries, shocks and struts, belts and hoses, and air conditioning.

The Senior Automotive Technicianensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. They are also responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Delta World Tire & Service standards.

Compensation: Up to $45 flag rate

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in customer file
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Ability to work flexible schedules, Monday - Saturday

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics
• Valid Driver’s license in the work State (out-of-state driver’s licenses must be transferred to work state within 30 days of hire)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside. The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.

The Senior Automotive Technician must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

• Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
• Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
• Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Communicate with customers and shop personnel
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
