Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Aurora is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles accurately and efficiently, following MAP guidelines and manufacturer standards.

The ideal candidate will have ASE certification or equivalent experience, be able to work five days per week including weekends, and possess a valid driver’s license. We offer competitive pay and room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics and repairs preferred.
• Availability to work five days per week, including weekends.
• ASE certification or equivalent experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on inspection/repair orders with accuracy.
• Explains diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Maintains safety procedures and documents recommendations properly.

Automotive Technician

The Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Toscalito standards.

Compensation: Ranges from $40 to $50 flag, depending on experience

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants, and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to work five days per week, including weekends
• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
