Job summary

Impact Business Group is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead a high-volume automotive facility in Zeeland, Michigan. The role oversees ~60 employees across three shifts, reports to plant leadership, and drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will balance hands-on plant floor leadership with strategic manufacturing initiatives and capital planning to support new product introductions and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required with 10+ years of automotive manufacturing experience.
• At least 5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership, production management, or operations management.
• Strong leadership with a focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations across an assigned business unit with 60 employees across three shifts.
• Directly mentor three Production Supervisors while building accountability through Team Leads and Operators.
• Execute production plans to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Provide leadership for high-volume assembly operations and support other processes as assigned.
• Monitor performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Balance daily production with new product launches and process changes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and procurement for resources.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term operational strategies.
