Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking a Senior Assembly Project Lead to drive assembly process initiatives at our Plymouth, MI location. You will lead meetings, coordinate with multiple departments, and manage tool and equipment design through launch.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience in metal joining and manufacturing concepts, plus project management skills. Frequent travel may be required; join a team delivering complex propulsion-agnostic automotive components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of eight years in automotive/metals/assembly environments and two years in project management.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly process meetings and maintain timing charts for equipment and tooling.
• Interface with internal departments to keep status updates current on equipment and tool status.
• Manage and maintain assembly projects including tool designs, equipment fabrication, tryout materials, and launch support.
