Job summary

Chevrolet of Naperville is seeking a dedicated Automotive Journeyman Technician to join our team. This full-time role targets lead techs and experienced dealership professionals in a non-union environment, offering wages $25–$59/hr and a supportive team culture.

Work hours are 4 weekdays 7am–5pm and Saturdays 7am–5pm; must have 3+ ASE certifications. Extensive benefits include paid vacation, holidays, health/dental/vision, 401K, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong Electrical & Engine Diagnostics experience required.
• Well rounded in steering, brakes, engine mechanical and HVAC.
• GM experience and training preferred.
• 4+ years of successful automotive technician experience recommended.
• Ability to read English and perform basic math; valid in-state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul automobiles, vans, trucks to dealership and factory standards.
• Inspect, repair and replace engines, transmissions, differentials as needed.
• Overhaul or replace fuel system components, ignition systems, electrical components.
• Diagnose malfunctions and discuss findings with customer/service advisor.
• Road test vehicles before/after repair and document work performed.
