Job summary

Magna International Limited is seeking an Engineering Department Leader in Bowling Green, KY. You will manage the engineering department, lead the team toward objectives, and ensure compliance with Magna’s quality systems.

You will oversee new product design and maintenance, mentor staff, and coordinate with policy application, employee relations and continuous improvement. A strong technical leadership background is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• College degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of Engineering Management experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of automotive engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years in automotive manufacturing processes (GMAW welding, stamping, or automated assembly).
• CAD experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supports the engineering function while ensuring adherence to the quality system.
• Analyses production methods to meet time and cost goals.
• Provides technical guidance on complex projects.
• Establishes and enforces design control procedures for quality, reliability and safety.
• Collaborates with customers to meet their requirements.
• Maintains and improves design control procedures and reports engineering performance.
