Job summary

Toyota of Mt Pleasant, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician in Mount Pleasant, TX. You will handle repair orders, diagnose issues, and perform repairs to factory standards with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• ASE certification or manufacturing training.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts if under warranty or requested by customer.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Notify service advisor if additional work is not needed or cannot be completed.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
