AutoShop Recruiting is seeking an experienced A-Level Automotive Diagnostic Technician for a full-time role at the Peoria Avenue location in Arizona. You will diagnose, repair, and guide others on complex engine, electrical, and drivability issues using diagnostic tools and software.

You will mentor junior techs, stay current with EV/ADAS developments, and ensure timely, high-quality repairs in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional automotive-technician experience or master-level training.
• Strong diagnostic, electrical, drivability, and mechanical-repair skills.
• Proficiency with scan tools and diagnostic software.
• Ability to independently complete advanced repairs.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Commitment to quality and safety.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and computer-controlled systems.
• Resolve complex drivability and electrical concerns.
• Perform engine and transmission removal and replacement.
• Diagnose and repair heating and air-conditioning systems.
• Use scan tools and manufacturer diagnostic software.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and specifications.
• Complete final quality checks and road tests.
• Document diagnostic steps, findings, and completed repairs.
• Communicate repair needs and timelines to service advisors.
• Mentor B- and C-Level Technicians.
• Continue developing knowledge of EV, ADAS, and emerging vehicle technology.
