Job summary

Rivian is seeking a security engineering leader to own threat modeling and design review across domain architectures, ECUs, and vehicle compute. You will define security requirements and guide platform teams, while mapping data flows and enforcing privacy controls.

Collaboration with Rivian's RVT joint venture and product security teams is essential. This is a hands-on, architecture-focused role based in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering, with hands-on embedded/ automotive product security.
• Experience with firmware analysis, secure boot, ECUs, and OTA security.
• Proven PKI design and certificate provisioning at scale, including HSM-backed roots.
• Ability to document data flows, minimization, retention, and de-identification in shipping products.

Responsibilities

• Own threat modeling and design reviews for vehicle domains, including architectures and protocols.
• Write and drive security requirements for programs with platform engineering teams.
• Map data flows, specify minimization/retention, and validate privacy controls across systems.
• Scope product security testing with offensive teams and translate findings into standards.
