Job summary

VDart Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Engineer (Automation) to lead test automation across enterprise applications. The role emphasizes core Java, API automation with Rest Assured, and UI automation with Selenium in a fast-paced Agile setting.

You will design scalable automation frameworks, validate RESTful microservices, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior engineers and driving quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
• Strong programming experience in Core Java, including:
• o OOP Concepts
• o Collections
• o Exception Handling
• o Design Patterns
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation testing.
• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Core Java, Selenium, and industry-standard automation tools.
• Develop and execute automated API test suites using Rest Assured and validate RESTful microservices.
• Create and maintain functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automation suites.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and develop test strategies.
• Execute test plans, analyze results, identify defects, and drive resolution through closure.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL queries.
• Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, defect triage, and release readiness activities.
• Mentor junior team members and promote automation best practices.
