Briggs & Stratton is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to diagnose and repair equipment using PLCs and automation controls. You will support robotics and automated systems, fabricate parts in the machine shop, and perform preventive maintenance with specialized tools.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, strong English communication, and teamwork abilities. The role involves physical duties across shifts and collaboration with engineers.
You start your shift walking the floor, eyes on the health of our machines and the facility that houses them. From the production lines to the building and grounds, you’re the go-to expert for keeping everything running. When a line stops, you dive into the PLC logic, trace signals, and restore flow. In between, you’ll service HVAC and electrical systems, fix a leaky pipe, and tune a hydraulic circuit so a piece of equipment performs like new.
Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Briggs & Stratton builds innovative products and power solutions that help people get work done. We’re a global leader in engines for outdoor power, and a major designer and manufacturer of lithium‑ion batteries, standby generators, energy storage systems, and lawn and turf care products under the Briggs & Stratton®, Vanguard®, Ferris®, Billy Goat®, and Branco® brands.
