Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 3–5 years in automation, machine design, or robotics integration with experience deploying factory automation.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for assembly modeling and part design.
• Proficiency in ASME Y14.5-2018 (R2024) and ISO 286.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards and machine risk reduction principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom automation equipment, fixtures, and electromechanical systems as part of a project team.
• Create and revise 3D CAD models, drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for automation and mechatronic systems.
• Assist with integration of robotics, machine vision, servo actuators, pneumatics, sensors, and automation hardware.
• Participate in concept development, component selection, design reviews, and validation.
• Build, troubleshoot, and refine prototype and final-deliverable equipment.
• Support commissioning, FAT, site installation, startup, and operator training.
