Job summary

Invio Automation is seeking a Senior Estimator in Michigan to work with customers, interpret project needs, and develop accurate, competitive proposals. The role requires knowledge of mechanical hardware, pneumatic and electrical controls, design concepts, and industry standards.

The estimator will prepare timely quotes, manage the quotation process, tailor mechanical and controls solutions, and collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Business Development to win new business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Associate’s degree with 5–7 years of related experience.
• Automotive or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate quotes by applying technical and manufacturing experience.
• Manage the quotation process including terms, approvals, and documentation.
• Develop mechanical and controls solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Review specifications, provide clarifications, and alternatives.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Business Development to secure new business.
• Support large projects by managing change orders and coordinating with Engineering.
• Track quotes and performance for strategic partners and the sales team.
• Prepare quotes for spare parts.
