Job summary
Wood PLC in Houston is seeking Senior Automation Technical Professionals to design and implement automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects. You will participate in all project phases from FEED to commissioning, including site surveys, FATs/SATs, and vendor interactions.
The role requires extensive experience with DCS and SIS platforms, PLCs, and HMI/SCADA, plus strong communication and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering license is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of automation experience.
- Experience with DCS and SIS platforms and PLCs.
- Proficient knowledge of relational databases and HMI design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Participate in automation projects for design and implementation in oil & gas and process industries.
- Engage in all project phases from FEED to commissioning (DCS/SCADA/HMI, PLC interfacing).
- Attend site surveys, FATs, SATs, and commissioning activities.
- Review project schedules and cost estimates, support procurement with vendor lists and bids.
- Travel to customer locations for project implementation (approx. 25%).
