Job summary

Curia in Springfield, MO is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer III to design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency.

You will lead projects from concept through start-up, collaborate with Operations, Quality, and vendors, and drive improvements in equipment performance and process control in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of industrial experience in control engineering or systems integration.
• Experience with PLCs and SCADA in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, GMP environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation and controls projects from concept development, design, and specification through installation, commissioning, validation, and start-up.
• Develop project scopes, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure successful project execution.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring activities stay within guidelines, budget, and schedule.
• Manage relationships with equipment vendors, system integrators, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate and oversee outside trade firms, technical contractors, and equipment vendors.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and change control to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
