Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for its Global Equipment Automation team in Chaska, MN. The role covers planning, design, programming, installation, testing, commissioning, and training of automated control systems.

You will design and program PLCs, robotics, HMIs, vision systems, and ensure supplier deliverables meet strict standards. Travel up to 15% is required to support Beckman and supplier sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or Mechatronics/Automation; 5+ years of experience, or Master's with 2+ years.
• Proficient PLC programming (ladder logic & structured text).
• Experience with AC/DC drives, servo motors, HMIs, vision systems, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Beckman factories and suppliers to design URS and automation concepts.
• Design and program industrial control systems including PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and vision systems.
• Lead design reviews and drive engineering decisions; provide project status updates.
