Job summary

Mike Smith Tire & Auto in Lumberton, TX is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform tire installation, maintenance, alignments, brakes, engine diagnostics and routine services. Qualifications

• Solid understanding of automotive systems.
• Experience with PC-based diagnostic tools and/or digital inspections are a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in automotive maintenance or repair; must have own tools.
• Valid driver’s license is strongly preferred.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate and timely quality vehicle inspection, maintenance and repairs.
• Test drives vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, fluid flushes, belt/ hose replacements, battery testing).
• Conduct thorough visual inspections and document findings.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment and fluids.
• Perform additional duties to support shop operations and team success.
