Job summary

TGK Automotive Specialists in Minnesota is seeking a Lead Auto Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles. You will mentor team members and ensure repairs meet dealership, manufacturer, and company standards.

The role requires ASE certifications or equivalent experience, strong diagnostic abilities with computerized equipment, and a valid driver’s license. Expect a 5-day work week, with potential for leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license.
• Ability to work 5 days per week, weekends included.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to appropriate certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnostic findings and needed repairs to customers and management.
• Recommends services to keep vehicles running, documents recommendations in customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and company policies.
