Job summary

Courtesy Chevrolet Phoenix is seeking an Autobody Technician to repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies and frames to original specifications. You will ensure structural integrity and safety after collisions.

You will handle frame straightening, welding, and component replacement while adhering to manufacturer specs and safety standards. A strong team player attitude and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of autobody repair experience or related roles.
• Own transportation and your own tools are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive body repair program or apprenticeship.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Body Frame Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in welding, metalworking, and frame straightening techniques.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle construction, repair methods, and materials.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, computerized measuring systems, and alignment tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and frame alignment using diagnostic equipment and visual inspection.
• Repair and realign vehicle frames and body components to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform welding, cutting, and other metalworking tasks to repair damaged structures.
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels, bumpers, fenders, and other body parts.
• Utilize computerized measuring systems and alignment tools for precise repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Communicate with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members about repair timelines.
• Maintain tools and work area, and stay updated on industry trends.
