You will engage in feature brainstorming, design, implementation, validation, and customer adoption, working across the full product lifecycle to deliver robust database

Qualifications

• 5+ Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
• 5+ years of relational database technology (such as Redshift, Oracle, MySQL or MS SQL) experience
• 5+ Experience troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host
• 3+ Experience in operations of highly available and scalable internet systems with a large customer base
• 3+ Knowledge of the primary AWS services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC, Route53, and S3

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers to understand challenges, resolve issues during escalations, and teach best practices.
• Act as the voice of the customer to help engineering design new features and plan end-to-end tests.
• Drive feature enhancements, resolve root causes, and improve performance of the managed database service.
• Contribute to automation solutions to improve operational efficiency of the database service.
• Be the subject matter expert for databases, supporting development, support, and field teams as well as customers.
• Interact with the open-source community via forums, conferences and code submissions.
