Job summary

Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. in Westminster, Colorado is seeking a Senior Staff Auditor to perform risk-based internal audits across financial, operational and IT controls, reporting to management and the Board.

The role requires eight years accounting/finance experience with at least four years auditing, CPA/CIA/CFE preferred, offers competitive salary 80k-124k plus comprehensive benefits and flexible remote work up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science, management, or related area.
• Possess and maintain CPA, CIA, or CFE certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine audits of Association activities.
• Conduct complex or specialized audits of Association activities, external affiliated organizations, and vendors.
• Develop specialized audit programs and risk assessments for audit assignments across financial, contract, operational and IT functions.
• Review procedures and validate internal controls related to inventory and asset verification.
• Prepare oral and written reports summarizing audit work and recommendations for improvement.
