Qualifications

• 8–10+ years leading audit engagements within financial services
• One professional audit certification such as CPA, CIA, or CFIRS
• Prior managerial experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of fiduciary regulations, experience with trust audits and regulatory examinations desirable
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills for presenting to senior management

Responsibilities

• Direct and review the activities of the audit project team and work collaboratively on audit reports
• Recruit, train, supervise and develop the team
• Provide leadership to the team and oversee multiple project teams
• Participate in complex audits and deliver industry expertise to management
• Evaluate risks, controls, policies, and procedures and how management mitigates risk
• Follow up on identified issues and recommend corrective actions
• Draft complete audit reports with clear issues and recommendations
• Maintain relationships at all levels of client management
• Escalate significant audit issues and present results to senior management
• Stay abreast of business changes and provide strategic risk guidance
