Job summary

Global Accounting Network in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Audit Associate / Audit Supervisor to join its assurance team, taking ownership of engagements and working directly with clients.

The ideal candidate has 3–8 years of public accounting experience, CPA status or progress toward CPA, and experience with audit, review, and compilation engagements, managing multiple assignments with high quality and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 3–8 years of recent public accounting experience.
• CPA license, or progress toward CPA designation.
• Experience with audit, review, and compilation engagements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; familiarity with QuickBooks and audit platforms.
• Strong communication, client-service, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage audit engagements from planning through completion with quality standards.
• Participate in compilation, review, and audit engagements across clients.
• Assess procedures and testing approaches based on client risk.
• Develop understanding of clients' business and reporting environments.
• Gather and evaluate audit evidence; ensure complete, well-documented workpapers.
• Identify issues and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to internal controls and processes.
• Maintain relationships with client contacts throughout engagements.
• Conduct technical research on accounting and auditing issues.
• Apply GAAP, GAAS, and regulatory requirements to engagements.
• Monitor developments in standards and impact on engagements.
• Coordinate multiple assignments and deadlines with attention to detail.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education.
