Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP in Coral Gables (Hybrid role) seeks an Audit Senior to lead engagement teams and refine audit approaches. You will oversee staff, review complex transactions, and prepare financial statements, delivering high-quality service to clients in a fast-paced firm environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in public accounting, a BA in accounting (Masters preferred), CPA eligible, and strong multitasking and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Masters preferred; CPA eligible or CPA license in progress.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; professional licensure encouraged, CPA preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Dialogue over engagement efficiencies and client specific risks.
• Develop audit approach to be used by the engagement teams.
• Instruct and oversee fellow A&A Staff throughout engagements.
• Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
• Financial statement preparation and/or review.
• Complete general audit procedures (coordination of audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, resolving open items).
• Research technical issues using online tools.
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
