Job summary

Weaver is seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join our growing Commercial team in New York. The role involves leading in-charge responsibilities on larger engagements, applying GAAP/GAAS knowledge, and strengthening client relationships through strong communication and planning.

The position requires 2–4+ years of public accounting experience, familiarity with GAAP/GAAS, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; a Master’s degree and CPA are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2–4+ years of public accounting experience.
• Commercial industry experience.
• Experience working with public companies.
• Basic familiarity with GAAP and GAAS.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-charge audit responsibilities on larger, more complex engagements.
• Develop and enhance client relationships through clear communication and project management.
• Execute engagement planning activities including time budgets and coordination with supervision.
• Design a risk-based approach to audits in line with GAAP/GAAS expectations.
