Job summary

Aprio, a leading CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Assurance team in New York. You will help clients maximize opportunities by delivering high-quality audits and written reports.

The role requires 3-5 years in public accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, CPA preferred, and strong Excel and audit software skills. Some travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Licensed CPA preferred or working toward CPA.
• 3-5 years in public accounting with audit experience.
• Experience in Manufacturing and/or Technology sectors
• Strong Excel and audit software skills

Responsibilities

• Accurately and skillfully performing audits.
• Preparing audit work papers and adjusting trial balances.
• Managing time to plan and schedule client engagements.
• Compiling financial statements into written reports for clients.
• Communicating accuracy of financial information to clients and coworkers

Position Responsibilities:

• Accurately and skillfully performing audits
• Preparing audit work papers and adjusting trial balances
• Utilizing time management to plan and schedule client engagements
• Assembling trial balances and compiling financial statements into a written report to be presented
• Effectively communicating the accuracy of financial statements and other financial information to clients and co-workers
• Continuously fostering relationships with coworkers and clients
• Traveling to some to client sites

Qualifications:

• 4 year bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Master’s degree preferred
• Licensed CPA preferred
• 3-5 years of experience working for a public accounting firm
• Developed specialties in Manufacturing and/or Technology
• Understanding and applying Excel skills
• Successfully using Case ware or other audit software
• Demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Working effectively and personably within a team

$82,000 - $142,500 a year

The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
