Job summary

UCLA Outpatient Clinics is seeking an audiologist to administer and interpret comprehensive audiological evaluations, including ABR/ASSR when indicated, at bedside or in the operating room.

The role includes candidacy determinations for hearing aids and cochlear implants, fitting and validating amplification, patient counseling, and interprofessional communication. You will also float among Santa Monica, Westwood and Thousand Oaks clinics to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Administer and interpret audiological tests across evaluation, immittance, otoacoustic measures, and electrophysiology.
• Provide bedside diagnostic services including ABR/ASSR as indicated.
• Hearing aid and cochlear implant candidacy determinations; fitting and verification of amplification.

Responsibilities

• Document diagnostic and treatment reports in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Audiology, HNS and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Float to clinics in Santa Monica, Westwood and Thousand Oaks.

Description

You will administer and interpret the full range of audiological tests from comprehensive Audiological evaluation, immittance measures, otoacoustic measures, electrophysiological measures from differentiation of conductive, cochlear, neural hearing loss, and pseudohypoacusis. You will also be responsible for the following:

• Diagnostic services at bedside, including adapted audiologic evaluations and auditory electrophysiology (ABR and/or ASSR) under sedation as indicated, at bedside or in the operating room.
• Audiologic treatment including hearing aid and cochlear implant candidacy determinations; fitting, verifying and validating amplification systems; patient and family counseling, and communication with other care-providers for child/adult.
• Complete documentation reports of diagnostic and treatment services in a timely manner.
• Provision of services in a manner consistent with CICARE goals and requirements.
• Participate in Audiology, HNS and other medical staff teams to facilitate and promote best patient and family care.
• You will be required to float to clinics in Santa Monica, Westwood and Thousand Oaks.

Salary range: 65.12-85.93 houry
