Job summary

The United States Attorneys' Offices seeks a Senior Attorney Advisor in the EOUSA Legal Programs Office. The incumbent serves as an Assistant Director with oversight of criminal portfolios and manages a team of attorney advisors across USAOs.

Responsibilities include providing legal guidance to senior leaders, drafting guidelines and rules, conducting legislative analysis, and coordinating policy initiatives to advance federal law enforcement objectives.

Qualifications

• A J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership.
• At least 4 years of post-J.D. legal or relevant experience.
• Must reside in the district or within 25 miles thereof.
• You must be a United States Citizen or National.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal advice to Director, Deputy Directors, and Chief of Legal Programs, EOUSA.
• Develops and implements EOUSA and Legal Programs guidelines.
• Drafts interpretative and administrative rules and other guidance.
• Performs legislative analysis and coordinates with EOUSA's Legislative Counsel.
• Supervises a team of attorney advisors, program managers, and staff.
• Provides technical guidance to attorneys and suggests program strategies.
