The role requires hands-on experimental work, data collection and analysis, and collaboration with engineers and scientists across disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD and at least five years of atomic physics experience, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD completed before start date.
• Minimum of 5+ years (PhD inclusive) of atomic physics experience.
• U.S. Person status required (citizen, permanent resident, or approved visa).
• National security rule excludes PRC/Russia nationals unless U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate atomic sources for trapped ion quantum computers.
• Publish and present ground-breaking results internally and externally.
