Job description

Make a Meaningful Impact With Your Financial Planning Career

Are you passionate about using your financial planning expertise to help others live more fulfilling lives without being pressured to “sell” products? At Novi Wealth Partners, we believe in delivering life-changing advice through deep relationships and client-centered planning—not pushing products or chasing trends.

As a fee-only, independent wealth management firm, we place integrity, education, and empathy at the heart of our client work. We are seeking a Senior Associate Wealth Advisor with a strong foundation in financial planning. Someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is looking for a long-term career path.

What Makes Novi Different?

Client-first culture: We don't sell products—we deliver trusted advice. Every recommendation starts with understanding the client's goals, values, circumstances, and definition of success.

Culture matters: We are looking for someone who genuinely shares our values. Technical expertise is important, but character, humility, curiosity, empathy, and a genuine desire to help people are equally important to us. The right person will be someone who naturally puts clients first, treats others with respect, takes ownership, and contributes positively to the team.

Collaborative team: Work alongside experienced advisors who support one another and believe that the best outcomes come from working together.

Meaningful client relationships: This is not a transactional sales role. You'll have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships with clients and help them navigate important financial decisions throughout their lives.

Path to growth: We actively promote from within. Our Associate Advisors are supported and encouraged to grow into Wealth Advisors.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement
  • Serve as a lead or supporting advisor in client meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients.
  • Listen carefully to client goals, concerns, and priorities and translate those conversations into actionable plans and follow-ups.
  • Manage ongoing client communication and financial planning deliverables.
  • Deliver a consistently thoughtful, responsive, and high-touch client experience.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive client files.
  • Create and update core planning deliverables such as cash flow projections, beneficiary reviews, tax analyses, investment plans, etc.
  • Partner with other advisors to develop and refine advanced planning strategies.
  • Approach financial planning holistically, always considering what is in the client's best interest.
  • Prepare and present Investment Policy Statements (IPS).
  • Monitor client portfolios and prepare trades for approval as needed.
  • Analyze existing investment portfolios and provide recommendations for new investment accounts.
  • Work closely with client attorneys, accountants, and our operations team to ensure timely and accurate implementation of recommendations.
  • Participate in internal committees and planning meetings.
  • Provide backup support for incoming client calls and customer service issues to ensure a seamless client experience.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3–5 years of experience working in financial services; client advisory or paraplanner experience preferred
  • Strong communication, analytical, and relationship-management skills
  • Exceptional client-service mindset and genuine interest in helping people
  • Strong alignment with Novi's values and client-first philosophy
  • Humility, empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to lifelong learning
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute positively to a team environment
  • Someone looking for a long-term career path, not simply their next job
  • Someone who takes ownership, follows through, and consistently puts the client's interests first
  • Performance-based incentive bonus tied to firm and individual goals
  • 401(k) with generous firm contribution
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and parental leave
  • Tuition reimbursement and support for CFP® certification/continuing education
Who Will Thrive at Novi?

The ideal candidate is someone who cares deeply about people and takes pride in doing the right thing for clients. You should be comfortable asking questions, listening before offering solutions, working collaboratively, and continuously learning. If you are someone who shares our values, genuinely enjoys helping clients, and wants to build a long-term career in a collaborative, client-first environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether you're returning to the profession, looking to grow your advisory career, or seeking a firm that truly aligns with your values, we invite you to explore a future with Novi Wealth.
