Job summary

Forvis Mazars US seeks a Transaction Advisory professional to perform financial due diligence, analyze financial results, and evaluate diligence issues for private equity groups and corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Accountancy or Finance, with 2+ years of relevant experience and a CPA preferred. This role focuses on supporting clients' acquisition and sales efforts within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in audit or transaction services from a large public accounting or consulting firm.
• Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence for private equity groups and corporate clients.

The Transaction Advisory team delivers critical insights and support for clients navigating business acquisitions and sales. With deep middle‑market expertise and national resources, they provide tailored due diligence services that uncover opportunities, assess risks, and highlight areas for improvement. Serving private equity groups and corporations, the team offers buy‑side and sell‑side due diligence, tax due diligence, and transaction structuring – ensuring clients are well‑informed and positioned for successful outcomes.

At Forvis Mazars, the Transaction Advisory team is led by experienced transaction advisors who focus on training and developing their teams. We pride ourselves on creating and maintaining a supportive and respectful environment for our members.

What You Will Do

• Perform buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence for private equity groups and corporate clients
• Analyze financial and operational results of target companies and prepare quality of earnings reports
• Evaluate financial information, identifying diligence issues/opportunities, and recommending post‑acquisition actions
• Research and analyze industry standards, trends, and target companies
• Work closely with client executives, investment bankers, private equity investors, attorneys, or other stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in audit or transaction services from a large public accounting or consulting firm

Preferred Qualifications

• Current and valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license
• Master’s Degree in Accountancy
