Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Associate, Quality Engineer to coordinate and serve as the primary interface between suppliers and L3Harris operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure delivery of quality parts from suppliers.

Lead investigation for discrepancies and implement corrective actions; monitor supplier performance and manage complex projects. Qualifications include pursuing or completing a Master’s degree in a related field, experience with IPC standards, and IPC J-STD-001 /

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field or completed within the last 12 months.
  • Experience with suppliers quality, audits and FAI preferred.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause and corrective action analysis with suppliers and ensure effectiveness.
  • Chair material/failure review boards and lead supplier assessments and audits.
  • Inspect hardware at supplier and L3Harris sites and resolve discrepancies.
  • Lead data review for supplier performance trends.

Skills

AS9102 FAI experience
ISO9001/AS9100 audit experience
IPC J-STD-001 (Space Addendum) cert
IPC-A-620 (Space Addendum) cert

Education

Master's degree in Industrial Eng / Electrical Eng / Mechanical Eng / CS / Quality Eng / related field (completed within last 12 months)
