Job summary

OCC in the United States seeks a software developer to build scalable data solutions for financial market clearing and risk. You will collaborate with analysts, leads, and developers to deliver high-throughput systems.

The role requires crafting microservices with Java and Spring Boot, integrating MongoDB or PostgreSQL, and optimizing SQL with careful ORM bypass. You will deploy real-time workloads on AWS EC2 with scaling and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must have design and optimize low-latency, event-driven distributed systems to handle high-throughput workloads using Spring Batch and Kafka.
• Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs for data-intensive applications using Java and Spring Boot with MongoDB or Postgres.
• Design and implement efficient database access strategies for high-throughput applications by bypassing ORM frameworks and executing optimized SQL queries.
• Design and deploy distributed real-time applications on AWS cloud to achieve high throughput and cost efficiency using EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups.

Duties:

Work collaboratively with business analysts, team leads and development team. Act as a contributor in developing scalable and resilient hybrid and Cloud-based data solutions supporting critical financial market clearing and risk activities. Collaborate with other developers, architects and product owners to support enterprise transformation into a data-driven organization. Design and implement efficient database access strategies for high-throughput applications by selectively bypassing ORM frameworks and executing optimized SQL queries. Support the application development of big data application for business requirements in agreed architecture framework and Agile environment. Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs for data-intensive applications using Java and Spring Boot with MongoDB or Postgres. Thoroughly analyze requirements, develop, test, and document software quality to ensure proper implementation. Design and optimize low-latency, event-driven distributed systems to handle high-throughput workloads using Spring Batch and Kafka. Design and deploy distributed realtime applications on AWS cloud to achieve high throughput and cost efficiency using EC2 and Auto Scaling Groups. Follow agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet: both explicit and implicit quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented. Perform application and project risk analysis and recommend quality improvements. Assist Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes. Communicate in a clear and concise manner all time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management.
