Job summary

Asimov seeks a Senior Associate Scientist to join the Synthetic Biology team on a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will develop stable producer cell lines for AAV and/or lentiviral vectors and contribute to viral vector therapeutics research, collaborating with the bioengineering and process teams to advance production workflows.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in AAV and/or lentiviral vector producer cell line development for GMP-like production.
  • Experience performing transfections, viral transductions, flow cytometry, and quantitative gene expression analyses.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform AAV and/or lentiviral vector stable producer cell line development including transfection, cloning, characterization, and cell banking.
  • Perform biological assays including ddPCR, ELISA, and flow cytometry.
  • Support development of novel workflows and applications for viral vector therapeutics.
  • Work with process development teams to improve cell line workflows and project outcomes.
  • Design experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot, and maintain detailed records.
  • Represent cell line development on project teams and communicate results clearly.
