The Students & Grads team builds Capital One’s pipeline of top junior talent by delivering a program that communicates our innovation and impact while developing outstanding associates at the start of their careers.
We are looking for an exceptional teammate to own the planning of the Analyst Internship Program. The ideal candidate has a passion for developing early career talent, experience leading projects and processes in a well‑managed way, and a data‑backed approach to influencing strategic decisions. We seek a team player who is solution‑oriented, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys collaboration.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Program Management: Partner with key stakeholders to plan and execute the internship program across multiple sites and pillars, including project manager & mentor strategies, engagement, and process improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder relationships and influence leaders across partner groups.
- Strategy Execution: Own cross‑functional strategic execution within the broader team, including overall Analyst internship performance management and project manager processes.
- Intern Experience: Develop and implement intern engagement strategies to build a community that supports retention of top talent and strengthens Capital One’s brand.
- Escalation Management: Handle intake for escalated associated issues, maintain the issue tracker, and serve as the first point of contact for associate issues.
- Relationship Management: Build and own relationships with internal clients, stakeholders, and external vendors.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent military experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Program Management, Recruiting, Human Resources, Event Management, or a combination.
- At least 1 year of experience with Google Suite products (Sheets, Slides, Docs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources, program management, or a client‑facing role.
- Experience with project management.
- Experience interpreting metrics and trends to drive data‑backed decisions.
- Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change.
- Proven problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic program schedule.
- High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts.
Compensation and Benefits
Minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed by location:
- McLean, VA: $88,800 - $101,300 (Sr. HR Associate)
- Richmond, VA: $80,800 - $92,200 (Sr. HR Associate)
This role is also eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
