Senior Associate, Renewables Valuation

The company provides a broad range of services including business valuation, real estate and equipment appraisal, financial and tax reporting support, and transaction advisory such as fairness and solvency opinions. What sets the firm apart is its multidisciplinary expertise across industries and asset types, allowing it to deliver tailored insights for complex financial decisions. With a national presence and decades of experience, it serves clients ranging from corporations and law firms to government entities.

As a Senior Associate in Renewables Valuation, you will perform financial and economic analyses for renewable and conventional energy assets, utilities, and large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in project finance, power markets, and capital-intensive assets. You'll support clients in mergers & acquisitions, tax structuring, financial reporting, and investment decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting valuations of power generation facilities, renewable energy assets, utilities, and infrastructure projects
• Building discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and cost-based valuation models
• Performing financial statement analysis, market research, and regulatory impact assessments
• Supporting clients in M&A transactions, investment strategy, and financing structures
• Researching wholesale power markets, transmission constraints, and energy policy trends
• Preparing valuation reports for financial institutions, regulatory agencies, and investors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering; CFA, ASA, or CPA is a plus
• 3+ years in energy valuation, project finance, infrastructure investment, or financial consulting
• Strong financial modeling, energy market research, and regulatory compliance expertise
• Familiarity with power purchase agreements (PPAs), project financing, and energy asset valuation
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills for investment committees and legal professionals
• Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex financial models for large-scale assets
